Here is the truck nestled between a 1943 Dodge WC-52 on the left and a 1943 Willys MB on the right. The photo was taken shortly after we bought the truck and before restoration was started.
Much thanks and admiration should be given to Charles (Jr) and the late Jimmy B for the hard work and countless hours they put in to restore the truck. The other two vehicles shown in the above photo belong to Charles.
The unit markings are for the 6th truck, Headquarters, 406th Combat Engineer Company Special, 3rd Army. This would have been in England before D-Day, when Patton was in command of the 6th Army, known as the Ghost Army.
There is still much work to be done: Rear seats need installation, front seats covered and installed, new tires with tubes, canvas cab and cargo covers, bows to support canvas, and all the other little things too numerous to list but definitely necessary before the truck can be presented to the public.
